Miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the house of Jatiya Party- nominated candidate for Rajshahi-5 (Puthia-Durgapur) constituency Professor Abul Hossain on Wednesday night, reports UNB.
The house of JaPa candidate and ex-MP Abul Hossain came under attack in Sahabajpur village of Puthia upazila around 11 pm. However, no casualties were reported.

The inmates of the house came and extinguished the fire, he said.
Later, police visited the spot and collected evidence from there. An investigation has been launched to identify those involved in the incident.
Abul Hossain said the attack might have been carried out to intimidate him to withdraw from the election. “I`m not afraid of it. I will be in the election field with people of InshaAllah.”
"I was at my home in Rajshahi city at the time of the attack. A complaint will be lodged with the police,” he added.
